About a month ago Dallas and I were able to get away from the kids for a weekend of travel. We did take Burleigh with us because he is little, but it was fun. We had to go to eastern Montana to pick up a disk for grandpa. We left Thursday afternoon and got back on Sunday. We saw a lot of pretty country and flooding of most of north east Montana. On Thursday we just drove till about midnight. We drove through many small towns, finally around midnight we were so tired and we just wanted to sleep. We stopped in a small town checked all the motels, which was 3 and they were all closed for the night. What kind of motel closes at night, only in small towns. We finally woke someone up and got a room. I was beginning to wonder if we would have to sleep in the truck. The next morning we went to visit the Fort Peck dam and museum. I know the kids would have loved it. Then, on our way to pick up the disk. Finally we got to the farm, and nobody was there. Dallas climbs in a tractor and got the disk ready to hook to the truck. After a couple of hours we had it ready to go, we were on our way home. The disk was wide and we had to go slow. We traveled 35-40 miles an hour for 500 miles. I enjoyed the ride, Burleigh was happy only when he was in his bed in the back seat and Dallas was tight gripped on the steering wheel. I enjoyed our time together and we made it back just in time for a birthday party.

Fort Peck Dam. It was amazing to see. This picture does not do it justice but it was awesome.
